The legal firm White & Case LLP wanted to build an image for themselves which broke with the past. Its reception areas, located on the ground floor of a building on Rue de La Loi (Brussels), were outmoded in terms of comfort, style and energy performance. This project should ramp up style and consistency while maximising the optimum use of areas.
The choice of materials, the design and practical level: everything is just what was hoped for. Clients, visitors, in-house... everyone is delighted.
The new layout was made up of one part new and one part recovered materials. GLOBAL has been abel to show itself to be creative and flexible.
Meeting room, training room, flexible furniture: new facilities include a large share of high-tech equipment. A piece of equipment which should operate in all circumstances without the client having to worry.
Several technical discoveries during the works have required significant intervention, such as the replacement of 21 HVAC units. The re-arrangement of the building’s reception hall was carried out exclusively during the evening and at weekends so as not to hinder access to the other occupants of the premises.
New meeting rooms, a library, a board room especially provided for video conferences, a champagne corner and a reception office have been implemented. The shared hall of the building has also been reorganised.
The works were carried out in an occupied building, which meant working with discretion.
GLOBAL has designed and organised contemporary work spaces, attractive to the office’s lawyers and clients, but also to future tenants.
GLOBAL kept to what was essential. The whole is based on notions of perspective, light and transparency. The use of dark colours and natural amterials contributes to creating a stripped-down atmosphere around a contemporary and authentic style.
Resolutely function, the solutions developed by GLOBAL enable White & Case to exploit the full potential of its spaces in terms of occupation.
One of the biggest challenges in the project “Agoria Tech Lounge” was making technology accessible and turning it into a real asset for its occupants.
