At the beginning of 2018, Agoria opened the Tech Lounge in collaboration with Blue Point. This co-working space offers a number of innovative collaborative and working solutions, including an amphitheatre with a digital wall and a Xerox ‘Classroom of the Future’ that revolutionises learning models for businesses.
Full conversion of the Boulevard de l’Empereur office in Brussels. Redevelopment of 6 floors, each with 1000 m², and setting up new working dynamics for the 360 staff working there. GLOBAL’s task was to give options for the SWOW (Smart Ways of Working) concept created by Elia in its Rue Monnoye building. The result ensued from a creative collaboration between GLOBAL and Elia.
The plan aimed to bring together the various entities in the Sodexo group at the same location with three objectives: to improve the quality of life and comfort of the 500 staff, to increase collaboration and internal communication and to reduce the company’s ecological footprint.
GLOBAL’s task started with Degroof , as part of the layout of the floors of offices which the company was renting in a renovated building. The merger of the private bank with Petercam , which took place afterwards, required the teams to be brought together physically. From there, GLOBAL’s task was to restructure the existing offices at Degroof’s premises in order to meet the increased need for space. It is continuing with the complete renovation of the mansion house.
Sibelco was looking for a new facility for its Benelux offices, in Anvers. The company occupied an old 6-storey building where everyone had their own space. The members of staff who travelled had little opportunity to speak to each other. This lack of fluidity in communication was a real problem. Assisted by GLOBAL when making its choices, Sibelco moved into 3 completely open floors, in an 8-storey building.
One of the biggest challenges in the project “Agoria Tech Lounge” was making technology accessible and turning it into a real asset for its occupants.
